As you know, we have reached and begun a new year. The great thing about starting a new year is that even if 2008 didn’t go how you would have liked (which is very true for so many people as a result of the way that the economy performed), you now have a new opportunity to start fresh. That’s why New Year’s resolutions are so popular, because people feel like they have a blank slate, and with hard work, they can accomplish any goals that they set their mind to doing.

I for one know that I am quite excited about the new year. One of the main reasons that I am excited has to do with a gift I received for Christmas. The gift that I received was a travel package to Austria (which means that my flight, hotel room and rental car are all taken care of). I am going to get to go for ten days, and the best thing about this trip is that it starts in just over a week and a half! I know I’m going to have a great time, and I’m so appreciative that I received this gift.
