About six months ago, I took a trip to Austria for the first time. You would probably assume that I was very excited to take this trip, but if I told you I was excited about this trip before we left, I would be blatantly lying. I don’t know what it was exactly, but I didn’t have any desire to visit Austria. When my husband and I started talking about taking a vacation somewhere, I had my heart set on somewhere that was extremely tropical. However, my husband could not get his mind off of visiting Austria, and when he found a package deal that included a flight, hotel and rental car, he actually booked it without talking to me! This didn’t put me in a very good mood, and thus turned off my feelings towards going to Austria.
Although I began my trip with a negative attitude, this slowly began to change. We went to Austria for a total of eight days, and during this time period, I couldn’t help but notice that I was beginning to like Austria more and more. Maybe it wasn’t my dream vacation destination, but our trip actually turned out to be a lot of fun.
