The most common rental companies which are used in Europe are always going to have several options for travelers. Debit cards will usually function the same as credit cards in Countries like Austria and are comparable to paying like credit. Car rental companies will accept debit cards as long as they bare the globally accepted card logos such as Visa and MasterCard. Rentals may have a few restrictions or fees through this method so it is recommended to call in advance to make sure that they do accept payment methods such as debit cards before you make your way there.

The best option for international travelers to Austria is to simply make their rental arrangements online. Car rental companies will accept any form of payment which will process online. Debit card essentially work like credit cards and require little more than a press of a button to accept the charges. Simply enough, if you do not have enough funds to make your rental purchase for your reservations, your card will be denied until you have the appropriate amount of funds available to make the purchase online. This is incredibly easy and available to anyone worldwide.

Taking advantage of great lower cost options online is also simple and are debit card accessible. The process is simple and asks for information such as travel dates, pickup location and age of the driver. Once you make your vehicle selection, processing can be done quickly and easily online. Payment simply requires the input of the valid credit or debit card number and you are done. To help prevent delays, making rental arrangements in advance can help provide the funds to process, preventing for the need to wait for funds to process. The online options make it easy to pay by debit card.

If you are in Austria you are a lucky soul. Austria is one of the most beautiful countries in the world to take a vacation in or even if you are there on business. Austria is one of the richest countries in the world with an average household income of over $42,000 a month. While you are in your Austria car rental you may need some ideas on what to do and where to go. Maybe we can help you on that journey.

One of the first things that you should do is take a trip on over to the Twin City Liner. Enjoy a relaxing trip from Bratislava to Vienna and adventure the open waters. Make sure that you brush up on your German though. Many of the staff do not speak English and it is only proper etiquette to learn the basics of a language when you visit another country. The Twin City liner is great for any sea lover or anyone else who wants a relaxing trip.

If you are looking for a place that is classy and you enjoy coffee as well take a trip on down to Aida. Aida is a high class café that has excellent food as well as delicious pastries. You will enjoy the succulent taste of the Melange coffee and choose over 30 different kinds of cake, which is truly one of the finer tastes of Vienna.

If you need lodging and you want a great place to stay that is not only affordable but nice take a trip on over to Hotel Austria. Hotel Austria is a 3 star hotel that is great for families to stay in. You will love the 5 language cable/tv, the mini bar, and coffee and tea making areas that will give you an ambiance of relaxation.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could use your SkyMiles for your Austria car rental? Before we jump into the meat in the article, let me explain exactly what SkyMiles are. Delta Airlines, is one of the nation’s largest passenger carrier. You can catch a flight, through Delta, to every continent with the exception of Antarctica. Even better, you can get a direct flight to both Australia or Africa. As more and more people fly on Delta, their frequent flier program grows in popularity. In most cases, SkyMiles are redeemed by for free air travel.

However, they can also be used for many other purposes like for your Austria car rental. It’s an excellent reward program to help you save a great amount of money. But here’s the kicker. SkyMiles members will receive a discount from certain national car rental chains. Just so you know, Thrifty Car Rentals, Budget, Alamo Rent A Car, Avis, and Hertz will offer you the chance to put your SkyMiles membership to work for you. You’ll get a huge discount on car rentals with these companies. And get this, you can also earn more bonus reward miles that can go toward free flights with your car rental.

Be aware that you’ll only be able to redeemed your SkyMiles for airline rewards like flying for free, or Delta upgrades. The Delta SkyMiles reward program opens the door for big discounts on your Austria car rental. As a SkyMiles member, you’ll have total access to all promotional offers available. Expect discounts between 20% on upwards to 40% or more in addition to bonus miles. In the end, your SkyMiles membership is a wonderful gateway to saving money on your next car rental.

Austria is the birthplace of skiing, and to go to Austria without experiencing the many Alpine villages, amazing mountain scenery, or great locals just isn’t a trip to Austria. While not all of Austria’s ski resorts can boast they are the best at everything, a few in particular stand out. Which one is best for you depends on what type of ski resort you’re looking for.

If you consider yourself a pro, or aspire to be a pro, St. Anton is without compare. Particularly known for it’s off-trail skiing, St. Anton has long been the domain of professionals. However, don’t feel intimidated by the three time gold medalist sitting next to you - what isn’t very well known is that the majority of St. Anton’s runs are intermediate. And what intermediate runs they are! With over 200 miles of free skiing area for you to play in, it’s no wonder St. Anton is in a league of it’s own.

Let’s say you have a couple of days to burn, what then? While St. Anton is a great ski resort, the surrounding city isn’t as vibrant as Innsbruck. You could land at the airport, go to your hotel, and get on the slopes all within an hour. It is an absolute utopia for those who love to play in the snow. St. Anton is known to be especially friendly to families; the ski instructors in the area are known to be great with children.

Going over all of Austria’s ski resorts would take up an entire novel. However, no matter what resort you end up at, you’ll be guaranteed to enjoy some of the fabulous Austrian snow.

When you are arriving in Austria, you need to find a way to see the great sites. You can take the bus or take a taxi cab, but what fun would that be. Some vacations are better if you have the control of where you go and how long you stay in your destination. For a family trip, that would be more fun for you and your loved ones. Here are some sites that you have to see while you are enjoying your trip in Austria.

The Kunsthistorisches Museum is a great place to visit because it is rich with culture and is an all around good place to see many interesting things from the past. There are over 2 miles of corridors that have items hanging on the wall and statues to look at. You can get lose with all of the knowledge you can soak up in just one day’s time. There is art here from Egypt, Greece, Rome, and from the Orient. There are many artists that are displayed here and who knows, you might find an artist that you can relate to.

The belvedere Palace is another great site to see while you are in Austria. This palace consists of two levels, the upper and lower level. The gardens are one of the main attractions that bring people to this place. The three tiered garden links the two palaces and both are highly decorated with the most elaborate art work that money can buy.

Austria is a land of beautiful landscapes, fascinating history and unique people. Austria is one of the world’s most prestigious skiing destinations and the Swiss Alps, covering more than sixty percent of Austria’s mainland’s, provide some of the most breathtaking scenery in Europe. There are so many things to do and see while in Austria that it will be hard to pack them all in one trip!Winter Sports

Austria and specifically the Alps are one of the most popular winter sports destinations in the world. Whether it’s skiing snowboarding or curling, the intricate Austrian Alps will put your athletic skills to the test.

Historical Trains

Austria is home to some of the last modern steam engine rails in Europe. These rails have been in existence for well over a hundred and fifty years and travel though some of the best scenery in Austria including St Wolfgang village in Salzkammergut, a quaint and remote village that has been the home away from home for many famous European authors and artists.

Wine County

In lower Austria specifically Southern Styria and the Burgenland you will find Austria’s wine country. Although very little by comparison makes it into the US markets Austria has a thriving wine exporting industry that makes up a significant percentage of the lower-priced world wine market.

Austria is a wonderful country that is one of the last true tastes of old-world European charm. Travelers should definitely spend as much time as they can soak up the unique history, scenery and people of the small towns that make up this wonderful mountain area.

Nowadays it doesn’t matter what city you’re in, you can always find all types of cuisine to suit any traveler’s taste. Some people always want pizza no matter where they are. Hamburgers and fries are another such example. People are often scared to try local cuisine which is unfortunate because it takes all the fun out of traveling in foreign countries. When in Vienna you should try some local German and Eastern European cuisine. Two top rated restaurants that offer local cuisine are Waldviertlerhof and Palatschinken.

Waldviertlerhof is less expensive than the average local restaurant at an average of $11 to US$20 per dish. The restaurant has an authentic Austrian country decor complete with pine wood furniture. It is a lively local eatery where people come to drink beer, wine and to socialize. Their specialty is Toscana Schnitzel which tastes quite different from the standard Wiener Schnitzel. Crepes topped with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce are a delectable dessert option.

Palatschinken is another restaurant that offers local cuisine. The name Palatschinken means pancake which is what this restaurant has to offer. In fact this restaurant offers every single type of pancake that you can imagine. The nice thing about the restaurant is that they have a menu in French and English explaining what all the dishes are. The Palatschinken opens at 10 AM every morning and closes at midnight. Prices here are considered less expensive than in the average Viennese restaurant. Most dishes cost less than US$10.
